We capitalize on working with Community Health Workers (CHWs) to deliver basic primary healthcare to the community, especially women and children.

Wellness

Through our Center, we provide a safe space for women and girls to share and seek health information and services. The Center is also a space for the community at large to access health information and training, to promote a healthy and well community.

Sustainability

We believe in sustainability — for the program and for the community. We are in the early stages of starting a community beekeeping project to create jobs for the community, and whose profits will go into sustaining MAMA Center and its programs.

MAMA was founded in 2017 with the aim of reaching out to marginalized and rural communities in Kenya with maternal and child health information and developing skills of health workers working in these communities..

We take a participatory approach by immersing ourselves in the community we work with to understand the challenges and develop context-specific solutions
with a focus in health. We compliment these efforts by offering a holistic approach to community development.
